MS is Real

We're walking again! It's been 3 years since we last raised money for the MS Walk and we're happy to be back making a difference. Over the past 3 years MS has become very real to us and we realize now, more than ever, the importance of research in finding a cure. We truly believe that we (the researchers) get closer each day. Here are some photos that remind us of the reality of this disease:

After an attempt to catch the bus during a snowstorm.
He followed the snowplows down the street to catch the bus, waited for almost an hour, but the bus was a no-show. He came home, soaked to the core, glasses fogged, still smiling. (Or maybe that was just for the camera!)

My Hero again. . .

(1998- Honeymoon)
Sashimi-Guy is an amazingly graceful skiier. Well, he was. After he got back on his feet last winter, he decided to try the slopes again. Let's just say, due to his fall on the bunny hill and resulting concussion, he got a ride down the mountain on a ski-patrol sled! Next time, we're wearing helmets!

(2007) Much to the dismay of his wife, he got some help climbing the cliffs from his brothers-in-law.

Whew! He cleared the rocks!

To My Sashimi-Guy: You really are my hero- now and forever. Thank you for never giving up, for seeing the humor in life and making us both laugh, for teaching me about determination, and for touching the lives of everyone you know. You are a HERO in every sense of the word.
